Emergency Preparedness
Personal preparedness is important for a variety of significant situations including storms and power outages,
seismic activity, and local fire.
The FCA continues to facilitate emergency and safety information in many ways.  These efforts include:
Organizing seminars related to personal emergency preparedness, fire and earthquake
Coordinate with the RDN to encourage the building of Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness Teams.
Supporting Neighbourhood Emergency teams to share experiences and develop strategies for creating effective networks with their neighbour for situations small and large in scale.
Ongoing communications with the RDN, RCMP, Oceanside Community Safety Volunteers, Nanoose Volunteer Fire Department and BC Wildfire Services to ensure important information is available to our members when we need  it.
