Membership Benefits
We are an urban style community situated in a rural area and our issues are unique for a rural area. It
takes continuous stewardship on the part of the Fairwinds Community Association (FCA) to ensure our
needs are addressed.

A few benefits of membership:
A voice through the FCA with local government on such important issues as future development, existing streets, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping and our water resources.
A more pleasing environment through FCA initiatives to control invasive plants, unauthorized signage, cleaning of roadside garbage and discouraging other activities that detract from the beauty of the area.
Notices of various community and social events, seminars and the FCA organized annual Fairwinds Gala held at the clubhouse each year.
Support for emergency preparedness planning within Fairwinds to ensure we are all prepared for emergencies (such as earthquakes) that may cut us off from services for an extended period of time.
Encouragement of residents to comply with the various restrictive covenants within Fairwinds for the preservation of our beautiful surroundings.
Regular and timely emails and Facebook alerts of issues that may impact you or your home, such as: dangerous wildlife sightings, fire hazards, theft or other criminal activities.
FCA Newsletter - distributed by email 4 times per year.
Notices of Regional District announcements or public hearings.
At the 2017 AGM, the membership approved a bylaw amendment to allow the expansion of the boundaries for FCA Membership beyond the limits of Fairwinds as depicted in the RDN map referenced in our bylaws.  This expansion would include adjacent communities as defined from time to time by the Board of Directors.  At this time, the board has determined that the boundary for membership would exten north and east to include all homes east of Dolphin Drive up to the intersection of Blueback Dr and Dolphhin Dr.  In addision, the bounday would also extend west along Fairwids Dr. to the intersecion of Powder Point Rd and Anchor Way, including himes on Bosun Dr, Mate Pl, Anchor Way and Libk Pl.
